First off, my name is Mika. Pronounced "Meee-Ka", simple isn't it? Just like me! Out of the six billion people who inhabit the earth, I'm just another other person, but all it takes is one person, to change your life, or even make it just a bit brighter than it was before. What makes me special or unique? Well I wouldn't know. My perspective of myself is probably slightly or a lot different than the 'Mika' other people see me as. I would consider myself a nice person, as hard as it is, I try my very best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and forgive them, no matter what the circumstance. Some people might see this quality of mine as foolish, but in the end, what is being angry going to solve? Just like Buddha said, "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." If you take your time and think about it, it makes a lot of sense. Holding grudges and containing hatred only causes you pain, it's not the easiest thing to forgive, but the right thing is usually the hardest to do. I mean I'm hardly anything perfect, I have my flaws just like any other person, and at times I'm plagued by jealously, and being upset, but that's human nature isn't it? I thinks as long as you try to push past these meddlesome feelings, then in the end you're really gaining growth from it all. Whether it be a small amount of growing, or a large amount, it always takes time.

Another attribute of mine is that I accept everyone. Yes, every last person that has or ever will exist on this planet. That includes murderers and criminals, even the people you might find to be the most despicable. Why hate them? Empathy is something we should all cling to. Just because you don't understand someone, or see their actions as 'bad' doesn't give you any right to throw out negative thoughts and energy towards them. If anything, you should be hoping the best for them, hoping they find happiness and growth as well. In a book I read, "conversation with God", a more recent book in which a man is speaking with God about the issues of the modern day. God said to him "First, let's be once again clear that nothing is disapproved by God. I do not sit here in judgment calling one action Good and another Evil. We all have our beliefs, and I am accepting of every religion, however, I don't think religion should be the cause of violence, arguments, hatred, and wars. No matter who you are, I believe that everyone has the potential to be kind, sometimes it just takes someone else to help that kindness blossom--And here I am! With my watering can =D!

I'm very open minded, as open minded as a person can be. All you have to be is true to yourself and try your best not to hurt others physically nor emotionally. Anyways life's way to short to waste on being pessimistic or angry at the world, live every breath as if it were your last, don't take for granted the time you have being alive. Maybe happiness doesn't last, but even if it doesn't, the memories of happiness you have last forever, so hold tight to the recollections and remember, there is a smile waiting on the other side of sadness. Need nothing. Desire everything. Choose what shows up. FEEL your feelings. CRY your cries. LAUGH your laughs. HONOR your truths. Yet when all the emotion is done, be still..And cherish it all. Yeah yeah, I get into my inspirational talks, but when it comes down to it! I'm an easy going person! I like to laugh and make others laugh, I like to have fun, and live life on the edge!! I want to squeeze out everything life has to offer, though I haven't done much yet, I hope in the future I'm able to make amazing memories, ones that I'll be able to cherish.
